Last Sunday was a lazy day for us. I didn't have to work, Ian didn't have to travel & so we did a whole lotta nothin' all day. One of the (semi) productive things I did was read the paper while Max watched his weekly allotment of cartoons. As I finished a section I'd put it on the floor in a nice neat little pile. After awhile I realized that he was being quiet, too quiet. Max is very active & even watching cartoons is a non sedentary activity for him. He likes to talk to the characters or if he's watching Handy Manny (his fav), he likes to pretend he's hammering & sawing right along with the show. So anytime we're all home & it gets quiet, I get nervous. I looked over at Max & saw this:
"If all mankind minus one were of one opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind." ~John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859
